We're supporting Flintshire manufacturers with productivity, skills, training and decarbonisation knowledge to improve success in the marketplace.

The Accelerating Decarbonisation and Productivity through Technology and Skills (ADAPTS) programme will support manufacturers in Flintshire providing unparalleled access to advanced manufacturing technology, knowledge transfer, training and upskilling in digital and decarbonisation strategies.

The programme will support up to 32 businesses - from any sector - to decarbonise, increase productivity, innovate and upskill their staff.

ADAPTS is fully funded through Flintshire County Council's UK Shared Prosperity Fund allocation.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is part of the government's Levelling Up initiative, providing £2.6 billion in funding by March 2025 to support local investment across all UK regions addressing disparities and needs in both affluent and deprived areas.

AMRC Cymru successfully bid for ADAPTS as a means to support local manufacturers with productivity, skills, training and decarbonisation knowledge, areas that we have seen as key drivers in improving success in the marketplace.

The first week of intervention will focus on capturing critical manufacturing aspects such as:

  • Technology status
  • Opportunities for decarbonisation
  • Productivity assessment
  • Environmental assessment
  • Opportunities for training through the Wales Personal Learning Account.

If successful, the full-scale support will consist of:

  • Tailored support from the AMRC Cymru engineering team for an average of three months, to focus on advanced technology adoption
  • Access to bespoke training through Coleg Cambria on technology skills for three members of your staff
  • Foundational training in sustainability for businesses from Small World Consulting.

Get in touch with us today - and you will be assigned an engineer who will contact you to book your week one assessment.
