Inspiring the Next Generation Through STEM

Engaging young minds with the wonders of science and engineering is at the heart of our mission. Across South Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Wales, we are dedicated to illuminating the value of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) for school children, empowering them to see the opportunities these fields can offer.

Our STEM outreach efforts are diverse and impactful. From inspiring young people to pursue STEM careers through relatable AMRC role models to delivering hands-on classroom activities that demonstrate core engineering principles, we aim to spark curiosity and nurture aspirations.

In previous years, we have proudly delivered 953 hours of STEM Ambassador-led activities across 24 schools, engaging with over 2,700 students. These included a mix of in-school workshops, site tours, work experience programs, and participation in major events like MACH 2022 and North Star, featuring renowned scientist Prof. Brian Cox.

Together, we are building pathways for the next generation of innovators and engineers, ensuring they see a future where they can thrive in STEM.
