We recognise the importance of work experience and the impact it can have on a young person's future choices when it comes to their career.
It can help them identify a particular field of interest or enhance their wonder of a subject. And by being in a real work environment, it can help them to discover alternative pathways to employment in a particular sector and highlight different topics for study.
Eligibility
Here at the AMRC, we want to support young people when it comes to figuring out a career path. So if the below applies to you, then we may be able to support a placement.
- Do you have a keen interest in engineering and manufacturing?
- Are you studying a STEM subject with engineering in mind as a future career?
- And are you over the age of 14?

There are no designated dates or times allocated to a work experience placements, these will be agreed on a successful application and group capacity. Most placements will last four to five days depending on the group and location, although there may be some exceptions to this.
