The AMRC Integrated Manufacturing Group (IMG) and Namtec present an open day for small and medium sized business in the Yorkshire & Humber region.

The day will showcase IMG's projects and capabilities in robotics, automation and large volume metrology, and present plans for the new AMRC Factory 2050, a state-of-the-art research factory which will be the UK's first fully reconfigurable assembly and component manufacturing facility, due to open in 2015.

The creation of Factory 2050 is supported by a £10 million grant from the Research Partnership Investment Fund, managed by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

Regional SMEs can also find out how they can access two days' free support from IMG to help develop new manufacturing techniques and become more competitive.
