Futurebuild 2025
04 March 2025 - 06 March 2025At Futurebuild 2025 the entire supply chain will come together at ExCeL London to showcase innovative solutions, be inspired, and share knowledge, that will drive sustainable construction and help reach net zero.
Don't miss the opportunity to speak to Arthur Kershaw, AMRC Senior Project Enginner, which will be at the Planarific stand (H66) discussing the outcomes of the Let Zero Project - an Innovate UK funded project that support tenants in the private rented sector by working with landlords to improve decision making on renovations and improvements in their properties, especially those housing the vulnerable.
As part of the Let Zero Project, The University of Sheffield AMRC has been working in partnership with Wrapt Homes Ltd, a specialist internal wall insulation (IWI) installer, leading on design and delivery of whole home retrofit projects to develop software which can utilise 3D scans of room walls to create a panel cutting list to enable the dimensioning and off-site manufacture of a “kit of parts” to use in the retrofit construction phase. The software improves quality and reduces waste, but the biggest saving is on time, with materials arriving ready to fit together like a jigsaw rather than needing to be measured and cut to size on site.
