Mori Seiki Open Day
03 February 2011
12 May 2011.
By demand, leading machine tool supplier Mori Seiki will again showcase their latest machining centres and their work with the AMRC on Thursday 12 May.
The day will show how Mori Seiki is supporting the £40M SAMULET (Strategic Affordable Manufacturing in the UK with Leading Environmental Technology) project. Mori Seiki has recently installed three machines within the AMRC Factory of the Future for this project: and NMV8000 5-axis vertical machining centre with 800 mm pallet; a Multi Tasking NT6600 mill-turn centre; and a NVL Vertical Turning Lathe.
In addition, the AMRC houses several other smaller Mori Seiki machines which are being used at the cutting edge to ensure that research projects can be translated into the commercial requirements of industry.
There are two sessions, morning and afternoon, both offering an overview of the AMRC and Mori Seiki by the way of presentations and machine demonstrations. For more information, see the Mori Seiki event page.
The open day follows a booked-out event in March.
