2009-11-02 AMRC collaboration boosts ice-champ's hopes
The AMRC apprentices have used their manufacturing and engineering skills to produce the latest sets of skeleton bobsleigh runners to come from the Bromley R&D formula 1 ice programme.  The runners will be used by Shelley Rudman, the current Olympic Silver medalist and the only British medalist from the last winter games.  Click here for more information on Bromley Athletic Engineering Technologies.

2009-10-20 Sheffield students awarded Boeing scholarships

Students from the University of Sheffield have been awarded scholarships from Boeing as part of the aerospace company’s efforts to encourage progression in the field of Engineering.  Ten students joined the Boeing Scholarship and Support Scheme which provides students with £3,000 to support them through their studies.  Click here to read the full release.

2009-10-13 Mori Seiki to open North American Headquarters

Congratulations to AMRC partner Mori Seiki who is hosting the grand opening of their new North American headquarters near Chicago on November 3-5.  The 102,000 square-foot factory will house the companies entire product line as well as Mori Seiki University with three classrooms and a learning lab for traditional and hands-on machine instructions.  Visit www.moriseikius.com/chicago.
