Technology Strategy Planning Week 2018

29 January 2018 - 01 February 2018

The purpose of these sessions is to undertake planning work against the activities identified through AMRC road mapping sessions. The week will be broken down into a number of workshops focused around the main themes of the AMRC's research.

These sessions have dual roles:

  • To inform and update the strategies for each of the theme areas.
  • To develop consortia and plan projects which allow the strategic challenges to be solved. The teams are encouraged to look at a complete strategy to solve each challenge area through initial capability acquisition all the way through to the solving of specific partner challenges.

All partners are actively invited to attend and participate, with no limit on the attendees each may send to a session. When considering who to send to each session, partners are encouraged to consider individuals who will be able to speak from a position of technical authority in each area and communicate the challenges that their organisation would like the AMRC's help solving in the future.

The proposed agenda for the week is below:

Monday 29th Jan - Introduction and the Composites Centre group

Tuesday 30th Jan - The Machining and Metrology Groups

Wednesday 31st Jan - Near Net shape manufacture

Thursday 1st Feb - Digital Manufacture and Integrated Manufacturing
