Technology Roadmapping Week 2018

11 June 2018 - 14 June 2018

The AMRC conducts annual technology Roadmapping sessions which help identify the challenges which our partners would like us to address.  A technology roadmap is a plan that matches short-term and long-term goals with specific technology solutions to help meet those goals.

Developing a roadmap has three major uses:

  • It helps reach a consensus about a set of needs and the technologies required to satisfy those needs
  • It provides a mechanism to help forecast technology developments
  • It provides a framework to help plan and coordinate technology developments.

As with the Technology Strategy planning week, all partners are actively invited to attend and participate, with no limit on the attendees each may send to a session. When considering who to send to each session, partners are encouraged to consider individuals who will be able to speak from a position of technical authority in each area and communicate the challenges that their organisation would like the AMRC's help solving in the future.

The proposed agenda for the week will match the Technology Strategy Week and will follow the basic agenda below:

Monday 11th June - Introduction and the Composites Centre group

Tuesday 12th June - The Machining and Metrology Groups

Wednesday 13th June - Near Net shape manufacture

Thursday 14th June - Digital Manufacture and Integrated Manufacturing
