Chris Marriott
Chris originally joined metrology company LK in 2005 which was subsequently acquired by Metris in 2006 and more recently by Nikon in 2009. He has a continuous history of academic and practical engineering experience, having served a four year engineering apprenticeship, along with ONC/HNC levels before achieving his BEng in Integrated Engineering in Nottingham and subsequently moving onto a MBA in Technology Management.
His recent roles have included Director of Product Management and then VP of Engineering for the products developed at the Derby metrology facility, recently renamed as Nikon Metrology UK. His current product responsibilities include the traditional coordinate measuring machines (CMM’s,) the MCA (articulated measuring arm), the RCA (robotic measuring arm) and CAMIO metrology software. Chris also sits on the Steering Group of the ‘Centres of Excellence ‘ program, coordinated by the Warwick Manufacturing Group, part ofthe University of Warwick.
Chris resides in Derbyshire, has been married for twelve of his forty years of age and has 3 children.
